Taskriz and n8n
Both can pause work until a person answers. n8n is a workflow builder where you design each step, form and branch in advance; Taskriz lets your Agent send a person outside your business a request whose screen it makes for that moment, and carries on from their answer.
In short
n8n
A workflow automation platform you can self-host or use in the cloud. Its “send and wait for response” steps email or message a person an approval, a free-text box or a form you build in the editor, and the workflow resumes when they answer.
Taskriz
A service for reaching people outside your business. Your Agent sends a customer, contractor or supplier a request whose screen it designs (choices, dates, photos, documents), and gets the answer back as structured data. People answer from the link they’re sent, with no app and no account, and each answer can lead to the next request in the same conversation.
What they share
- Work waits for a person. Both pause until someone answers, even days later, then carry on.
- Made for AI Agents. n8n has an AI Agent node and MCP; Taskriz has plugins, an MCP server and an API.
- Structured answers. Both hand the answer to the next step as data.
Side by side
| n8n | Taskriz | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A workflow builder, open source to self-host or hosted by n8n, connecting hundreds of apps | A hosted service that gives any Agent a way to reach customers, contractors and suppliers, with plugins, an MCP server and an API, and no app for you to build |
| Who answers | Whoever you send the step to over a channel n8n connects to | Anyone your Agent sends a request to: customers, contractors, suppliers. They answer from the link they’re sent, with no app and no account, straight away or days later |
| Reaching people | Nodes for Email, Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Teams, Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and Google Chat, each set up with that service | Taskriz sends it for you: an email, a text message in Australia and the United States, or a notification in the Taskriz app |
| Where people answer | In the message: approval buttons, a reply box, or a button that opens an n8n form | In the browser on any phone or computer, or in the Taskriz app |
| What a request can ask | Approve, free text, or a form built in the editor: checkboxes, dates, dropdowns, files, numbers, text and more | A screen your Agent designs for each request, from iOS-style building blocks: choices, switches, dates and times, numbers, notes, photos and documents |
| Answers back to the Agent | The workflow resumes at the next step; waits are saved and can last days | As structured data, matched to the request: through the plugins, a signed webhook, a WebSocket or the events list, whenever the person answers |
| Connecting your Agent | The AI Agent node, MCP, and approve-or-deny review of an AI Agent’s tool calls | Plugins for Claude Code and ChatGPT (desktop and Codex), the Taskriz MCP server for any MCP client, and an HTTPS API for any Agent or workflow |
| The next step | Designed in advance in the workflow; each step reaches the person as its own message | Your Agent decides from the answer and sends the next request on the same conversation, with a new screen made for it: one thread the person sees, over days |
| Cost | Starter €20 a month for 2,500 executions and Pro €50 for 10,000, billed annually; Business €667; the Community edition is free to self-host; building n8n into your own product needs an OEM agreement | Free to start: 500 requests a month, no card; then Builder at $29 or Business at $99 a month. No seats, and the people who answer never pay |
Security
n8n runs where you host it, or in n8n’s cloud, and each message travels through the channel you choose. A Taskriz request is sealed to the person’s own devices.
| n8n | Taskriz | |
|---|---|---|
| Who can reach a person | Anyone you can reach through the channels you connect | Only Agents made by a Taskriz account, and only the people they send requests to; people can decline or disconnect an Agent whenever they wish |
| Encryption | Depends on where you host n8n and on each channel a message goes through | Each request is sealed to the person’s own devices and stored that way, and travels over TLS 1.2 or later |
| Who can read a request | The message is sent as written, so your n8n server and each channel it passes through can read it | Only the person’s devices: a request passes through Taskriz while it’s delivered, and is never stored or logged readable |
| Running the interface | n8n’s own form pages and each channel’s messages | In a WebAssembly sandbox with no network or file access of its own |
To be plain about Taskriz too: files sent with a request or reply are encrypted on our servers but not sealed to devices, and two-step sign-in is on the Roadmap. Security has the details.
When Taskriz fits
- Your Agent should decide what to ask from the last answer, not follow branches designed in advance.
- You want customers, contractors and suppliers to answer on a screen made for the request, with no app and no account.
- You want the follow-ups to arrive as one conversation the person sees, not separate messages.
- You want each request sealed to the person’s own devices, and to start free.
When n8n fits
- You’re automating work across many apps, and your team will design each step and form.
- You want to self-host the whole workflow engine.
Questions
What’s the difference between n8n and Taskriz?
n8n is a workflow builder: you design each step, and a send-and-wait step pauses for a person to approve, reply or fill in a form you built. Taskriz is a service your Agent uses to reach people outside your business, with a screen made for each request and the answer back as structured data.
Can I use n8n and Taskriz together?
Yes. An n8n workflow can call the Taskriz API to send a request and pick up the answer, so n8n does the plumbing and Taskriz reaches the person.
Does n8n let an Agent design the form for each request?
n8n’s forms are built in the editor ahead of time. Taskriz lets your Agent design the screen for each request, from familiar building blocks.
About this comparison
n8n was checked in October 2026 from its pricing and documentation on human review for AI tools and the Wait node. Taskriz is not affiliated with n8n. What Taskriz is building next is on the Roadmap.
